Follow the factory process below and your finish comes out clean, the parts go back together to spec, and your lifetime warranty stays intact.
Coating a bipod or monopod you already own
Any finish that needs heat or disassembly starts with a trip to Kansas: send us the product, we disassemble it properly, and every appropriate part comes back to you ready for coating.
Step 1 Send your product to B&T for disassembly.
Step 2 The appropriate parts ship back to you unassembled.
Step 3 Confirm the parts against the included Inventory Form and initial it.
Step 4 Have the coating completed to your satisfaction.
Step 5 Return the coated parts and the Inventory Form to B&T.
Step 6 B&T reassembles everything to specification for quality assurance.
Step 7 Your completed unit ships back to you.
Why the factory handles disassembly
Disassembling, losing, or breaking parts in a do-it-yourself teardown means paying for labor plus parts — and skipping this service entirely is at your own risk and voids the product’s Lifetime Warranty. The disassembly service below covers the round trip.
Buying new, unassembled for coating
Starting fresh is simpler: order the unassembled version of your Atlas bipod or Accu-Shot monopod and the parts ship straight to you, coating-ready.
Step 1 The appropriate parts ship unassembled, direct to you.

Important notes for a successful coating job
A few rules keep the process smooth — most of them exist because the Atlas is machined to close tolerances.
30-Day Window Return parts within 30 days to ensure compatibility with current production.
Package Carefully Pack parts to survive transit. B&T is not responsible for the finish or damage to it.
Inventory Form Every shipment includes an Inventory Form listing parts and quantities. All parties use it to keep every part together, and it comes back to B&T with the coated parts.
Close Tolerances Excess finish can affect assembly and function — especially the through holes on the inner and outer legs. Any excess will be removed so the unit functions properly.
Direct to You Only We do not sell or ship replacement parts, and parts ship only to the purchasing customer. B&T is not responsible for the aftermarket finish.
