The BT46-NC-FDE model Atlas Bipod is part of our PSR Series (details below). The “NC” stands for “No Clamp,” meaning it requires any 17S size mount in order to attach to a firearm. The interface to install a clamp has a two hole pattern of 1.100” with 10/32 threads. It will also mount directly to our BT19 AI Spigot or BT70 M-LOK® Adapter.

Cerakote® PRM Accu-Shot Monopod (model BT12-QK-FDE) — Flat Dark Earth (FDE)
The BT12-QK-FDE is our standard height Precision Rail Monopod (PRM) with QK01 Quick Knob. Attaches to standard Picatinny rail. It is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum that is Mil-Spec Type III hard anodized.
FDE is a Mil-Spec Type III hardcoat anodize in a flat dark earth color. It is the same durable process as the standard black anodize, applied in a different color. There is no functional difference between black and FDE variants. The finish is not paint and it does not chip or peel.

For a matched FDE front-and-rear setup, pair a PSR or CAL FDE bipod with the BT12-QK-FDE PRM monopod. The anodize batch may have minor shade variation between separate production runs, which is normal for hardcoat processes. Both will read as FDE in the field.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is FDE anodize as durable as black?
Yes. Both are Mil-Spec Type III hardcoat anodize. The color is the only difference. Hardness, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance are equivalent.
Will FDE match my rifle's furniture?
FDE anodize on aluminum has a slightly different shade than polymer furniture due to material differences. In general it reads as a close match in the field. Batch-to-batch variation in anodize color is normal.
Can I mix FDE and black accessories?
Yes. Performance is identical. Mixed colors are common, especially when accessories are not available in matching FDE.
Are FDE products available in blemished condition?
Not typically, but check the Blemished category. Blemished FDE units appear occasionally.
Why are FDE models priced higher than black?
FDE is produced in smaller batches, which means higher per-unit anodize cost. The premium reflects production run size, not materials or performance.
