Accu-Shot PRM

BT13-QK: Mid-Height Accu-Shot® Precision Rail Monopod

The Accu-Shot Precision Rail Monopod attaches directly to any standard 1913 Picatinny rail, making it the go-to rear support for modern rifle builds where a sling stud is not available or practical. It carries an NSN for the standard-height model, sees use in military and law enforcement applications worldwide, and is machined to the same Mil-Spec standard as every Accu-Shot product. A thumbnut locks elevation so the monopod holds its position under recoil, and an improved position button makes one-handed deployment and stowing fast and positive. Available in three heights, in FDE, and with blemished or unassembled options. Patented Accu-Shot design, the Sandbag of the 21st Century, in production since 2000.

Knowledge Is Power

Frequently Asked Questions

Before you buy the Accu-Shot Precision Rail Monopod (PRM), it helps to settle a few details. We cover buying unassembled for custom coating, how the options compare, and which option to choose below so you can choose with confidence.

Which height should I choose?

Standard (BT12-QK, $99.95) fits most situations and is the most widely purchased. If your monopod foot is not reaching the ground or rest surface with the standard at full extension, step up to Mid ($104.95). Extended ($109.95) is for high-rise chassis stocks or elevated shooting positions.

Does it fit my AR stock?

Most modern AR stocks have a Picatinny rail on the bottom. If yours does not, the BT26 ($39.95) for CAR stocks, BT51 ($49.95) for ACE Skeleton, or BT52 ($44.95) for Magpul ACS/STR add a rail section. Check the adapter table above to confirm your stock model.

What is the FDE version?

BT12-QK-FDE ($159.95) is the Standard Height PRM finished in Flat Dark Earth anodizing. Same specs and performance as the standard black version.

What does Blemished mean?

Cosmetic factory seconds with minor finish imperfections. Fully functional and covered by the full no-fine-print lifetime warranty, sold at a discount while stock lasts. Blemished Standard approx. $84.96, Mid approx. $89.21, Extended approx. $93.46.

What does Unassembled mean?

Parts shipped loose for customers applying Cerakote or another custom finish before assembly. Performance is identical to factory-assembled units. U-BT12 $124.95, U-BT13 $129.95, U-BT31 $134.95.

What is the thumbnut (QK)?

The thumbnut is a locking collar that, when tightened, holds the monopod at a set elevation so it does not drift under recoil. All PRM models include it as standard. QK stands for Quick-Knob.

What is the NSN?

NSN 1005-01-678-1553 is the National Stock Number assigned to the BT12-QK by the U.S. Department of Defense. It confirms the product meets military procurement requirements and allows military units to order through standard supply channels.

Can I run it on a Sako TRG?

Yes, with the BT29 Sako TRG Rail Kit ($39.95). Note: the BT29 is compatible with the BT12-QK standard height only, not the BT13 or BT31.

Which Accu-Shot monopod do I need for my rifle?

It comes down to how your buttstock is built. A stock with a straight underside parallel to the bore -- like a Magpul PRS or any stock fitted with a Picatinny rail -- uses our Precision Rail Monopod (PRM) models: BT12, BT13, and BT31. A traditional stock with a downward-sloping toe uses our Sling-Stud mount models: BT01, BT04, BT05, and BT06. For Accuracy International rifles, use our AI-specific monopods (BT08 and BT57). If neither standard option fits, you may need a rail or adapter -- see the Accu-Shot Monopod Rails Comparison Chart, which covers general-purpose, Sako TRG, ACE, ACS, STR, SIG SAUER, M-LOK, and more.
